We had a fabulous first two weeks of school! Going to school is a BIG adjustment for these  LITTLE people and they have handled it very well overall (parents, you have also)! Jess and I think everyone is doing a great job so far. Our main focus at the beginning of the year is for the children to feel comfortable, safe and most importantly, LOVED while at school! They WILL settle into a routine and will be learning how to make friends, share with others, sit at circle time, in their chairs for snack and lunch and how to use the bathroom with little or no assistance. On top of all that…we will be learning and having lots of fun! Here are some of the new things we have been doing the first two weeks of school:

We have been busy exploring the classroom, playing with all of the toys and getting to know our friends and teachers. Spent lots of time on the playground too! :0)

At Circle Time we are learning our monthly Bible verse, saying prayers, going over our calendar each day (learning the date, days of the week and month…all through songs!), talking about the weather, our shape of the month (circle), our color of the month (yellow), our letter of the week (L, for Lizzy Lizard) and our number of the week (1).

We have talked about God’s creations and did art projects of a star and the sun because God created day and night. We painted yellow creations and Lions too! Enjoy the pictures below.

We have Music Fun and Fitness every Tuesday with Ms. Amy and this week we pretended to be jellyfish with streamers….SO fun!!!

On Thursdays we have Chapel with Ms. Julie and this week learned about God’s creations, sang worship songs, danced and prayed. SO sweet to watch them and to hear their little voices!

Thank you for sharing your children with us. We look forward to a wonderful year full of learning and loads of love!

Be well-

Miss. Kim
