Parents we are so excited to start the new school year with your sweet children. Our focus for September is making friends, learning new routines, adjusting to rules, signing songs and prayers, practicing our first Bible verse, and learning our first letters, numbers, shapes and colors. Our calendar lists the letter, shape, color and Bible verse each month, as well as special activities. We enjoyed our first Show and Tell – the children all stood up and shared their special item with their friends. They are doing very well participating in circle time and they are excited about getting their turn to be the “special helper”. The special helper is our line leader for the day, points out the calendar and the day of the week, and shows us the weather forecast. Most importantly  the special helper gets to hand out the lunches which is a big treat! October calendars will come home soon – it is a fun month filled with special activities such as the Firemen Visit, Pumpkin Patch (held at our school) and Cowboy/Cowgirl Day. These children are a blessing to us every day.
