We have officially finished our first two weeks of school! Florence threw all of us for a loop and made the adjustment to preschool a storm of its own. This has been…..to say the least…..a BIG adjustment for these LITTLE babies! They have handled it very well overall (parents, you have also), and despite all the tears, we are finally settling into a routine! Lauren and I feel as if your children are adjusting well. Some have brought their “lovies” and others have “loved” on each other. They have begun to make friends which is fantastic and our main focus at the beginning each year is for them to feel comfortable, safe and most importantly, LOVED while at school!  Here are some of the new things we have been doing the first two weeks of school:

We have been busy exploring the classroom, playing with all of the toys and getting to know our friends and teachers. :0)

At Circle Time we are learning to (very simply) sit….a big accomplishment in and of itself, learning the days we come to school, singing songs, talking about the our letter of the week (L, for Lizzy Lizard) and our number of the week (1). We have spent time outside on our playground, discovered the baby frogs which live out there and played in the sandbox from head to toe!

We have Music Fun and Fitness every Tuesday with Ms. Amy and this week we pretended to be jellyfish with streamers….SO fun!!!

On Thursdays we will have Chapel with Ms. Julie and learned about God’s love, sing worship songs, danced and pray. This makes me cry… SO sweet to watch them and to hear their little voices! Enjoy the pictures below….

Thank you for sharing your children with us. We look forward to a wonderful year full of learning and loads of love!

Be well-

Ms. Sondra
