Devotion: Our G scripture was in Mark 16:15. Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. We also read a devotion on Gorilla families. It taught us that God says that He is like a father to all His children. In a very special way, everyone who loves God belongs to His family.

Books We Read: My Little G Book, Goodnight Gorilla, Gorilla Be good, Gingerbread Pirates, A Child Was Born, and The Grumpy Gruffalo.

Science: We learned about Germs. Germs are everywhere. Some are helpful and some can make you sick. Ask them about our experiment with glitter. We also reviewed our 5 senses with gingerbread cookies and reinforced it with a sandpaper gingerbread man. We saw it, felt it, heard the sound it made when we scratched it, then rubbed a cinnamon stick on it to smell and finally got to use our last sense when we ate it.

Math: The children counted by 1’s and 10’s. We continue to count the marbles in the jar….. we are half way to our 100th day of school celebration! The children also graphed goldfish and then found which color they had the least and most of.

HWT: We used one big curve and two little lines to form the letter G. We traced the letter G and formed it with our HWT manipulatives. They also highlighted the upper case and lower case G in a poem.

Journal: The children drew pictures of things that begin with the letter G. We drew everything from grapes to gumballs.
