Hello Parents!

We have been very busy in our 2’s class the last two weeks of September:  Our letters have been F  and E . The children have learned all about Fancy Fish, Ellie Elephant and the sounds they make as alphabet characters (there is an animal, a motion and a sound for every letter of the alphabet…Zoophonics). We have talked about the number 2 and colored and painted many yellow things! We have worked on having the children take their own water bottles, folders and lunch boxes out of their bags ALL BY THEMSELVES and are teaching them to put everything in the proper bins! They are doing SUPER!

We are working hard every day at school to share with our friends and take turns. As a group, they are playing well together. I love to sit back and watch them as they play, which at this point in their little lives is the MOST important thing. They play pretend breakfast and lunch with Jess and I, listen to our heart beats, administer shots and take our blood pressure! Not to mention all the comments about dinosaurs, baby dolls, trucks, cars, trains and magnets!

At circle time each day we sing our “Hello” song, go over the calendar, sing a song about the days of the week, talk about our letters and numbers and sing songs about our letters. We talk about the weather outside, the months of the year and the 4 seasons (and all the changes that come along with fall)….a lot for little people but they ARE learning!!!

The last two weeks our main focus was on God’s creation and Teddy Bear Day. We discussed how God made us all different because He loves us SO much and wanted to have friends. They have learned that people were God’s greatest creation. On Teddy Bear Day, we hung out with our favorite snuggly friends and even went on a bear hunt in the Worship Center! We sang “Going on a Bear Hunt” and pretended to use our binoculars as we searched for bears. It has become a favorite song to sing since then!!! :0

I hope you enjoy the pictures below from the past 2 weeks. THE ABSOLUTE BEST PART….ARE THE SMILES!!! NO TEARS!!! Jess and I LOVE your children and we look forward to a lot of fun activities in October. We truly have a wonderful and sweet class.

Blessings,

Ms. Kim
