Parents it is hard to believe that Christmas is only a few short weeks away. It is easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of the season and forget the real reason that we are all celebrating! So we are very focused on the birth of baby Jesus in our class and teaching the children the story of His birth. The children may mention to you that “Jesus’s mommy is Mary and his daddy is Joseph”. We have a cute plastic manger scene that the children take turns playing with at center time, and we are learning our December Bible verse. We continue to work through the alphabet, numbers, shapes, colors, seasons and more fun things! I sent evaluations home this week – the children have already made great progress – they will receive another evaluation at the end of the year. Take advantage of the Christmas break to visit our wonderful new library! There are so many books and learning activities to enjoy with your sweet children there.
A few reminders: our school Christmas program is Wednesday, December 18th at 9:30 in the Worship Center building. It will be a full house so come early to get seats! You may take your child home after the program, or they can come back to the class and be dismissed at regular carline. There will be extended stay that day but no dance that day. There is karate that week and on that Wednesday.
Our Christmas party will be Monday, December 16th at 11:30 in our classroom. All parents and siblings are invited to come join us! The children will bring regular lunch that day, but a sweet treat and fun will be provided! Thank you for sharing your sweet ones with us – they are a special blessing.
