Our 2’s class kicked off the first half of November in style!

The weather lingered in the warmer realm and the children have really had a good deal of time to play outside with each other!

During class time, we have been learning about turkeys, the Pilgrims and Indians and about thankfulness. We have read books about the first Thanksgiving and talked about how the Pilgrims were so thankful to the Indians for teaching them how to live in a new land. They were so thankful, in fact, that they invited their friends, the Indians to a special dinner to give thanks to them and to God for all they had! We even had a breakfast feast ourselves (see pictures below)! Thanks to our party mommas!  We have been reviewing our letters, numbers, colors, shapes, days of the week, seasons and months of the year! They are learning for sure, working together on puzzles, with other manipulatives in centers and praying before meals which is just so sweet! Ask them to sing the blessing “God our Father…” for you before your next meal…..they sing as a class all by themselves and I KNOW that God is smiling from Heaven for sure! :0)

Please enjoy the pictures posted below and as always, thank you so much for the blessing of being able to teach your children and more than anything else…..to love them each day!

Blessings,

Kim Johnson
