Hi parents! Our sweet children enjoyed learning about God’s love for them in the month of February, and celebrating love for one another on Valentine’s Day. They were so excited to make Valentine’s mail bags and pass out Valentine’s to their friends. The letter V was a perfect fit for the month, and Violet enjoyed our art project the most because we painted a Vase of Violets! We also practiced cutting with scissors this month – it is a difficult and awkward skill to master. A few of the children can cut properly but most are still learning. We encourage you to buy a pair of kids safe beginner scissors and give your child a bin of scrap paper to practice cutting at home. Please be sure their thumb is on top in the smaller hole so that they learn the proper technique. We instruct them to use their “helper hand” to hold the paper while the other hand cuts. Kids Teeth paid a visit this month too and the children enjoyed the puppet show and learning all about dental health. We can’t believe that February is almost over – where is the time going?!
