Our animal for our creation book was the tiger. We had fun driving cars through black paint to make the stripes for our tigers. The kids love to paint! It’s always fun to paint with things other than paintbrushes. We learned some fun facts about tigers. Tigers are the biggest species of the cat family. Tigers are good swimmers and can weigh up to 660 pounds. We read It’s A Tiger, Turtle Splash, Tickle the Duck and Teddy Bear Tea. We brought our teddy bears and other lovies for a Teddy Bear Tea Party. Our teddy bears were able to join us at circle time, centers and during our work time. This made for a fun day. We work on our days of the week, months of the year as well as our monthly Bible verse every morning at circle time. The kids love sharing their letter of the week bags with their friends, getting their wiggles out and counting with the leperchan to 100 by 1’s, 5’s and 10’s.
We have been working on our original art projects for the past two weeks. We hope you love them as much as we do. There are so many wonderful items you can get all made with your child’s artwork. These make great Christmas gifts and a great way to support our school.
