We started the month with Firefighters and now we’re having fun pretending to be Cowboys and Cowgirls! The children learned about fire safety and enjoyed practicing “stop, drop and roll”. We explored  new textures by playing with play dough, cutting, and painting. Our focus on letters, numbers, shapes and colors continues in circle time, stories, songs and activities. Pumpkins will round out the end of the month at our LCLC pumpkin patch and we’ll also carve up a big pumpkin in the classroom together. As the season finally starts to change, the children are also having a good time finding acorns, colorful leaves and pine cones on the playground. Some make their way home in their bags. We will ask the children to start collecting colorful fall leaves for a special Thanksgiving craft, so be on the lookout for those! And as always thank you for sharing your sweet children with us.
