Hi parents! The children continue to have fun learning about love, hearts, the color red, the letters V and R. We are cruising towards the end of the alphabet! If you peek at March’s calendar, you will notice that we are going to finish learning the letters and begin review. Please read A-B-C books to your children and ask them to identify letters. There are still some students who struggle to recognize our letter of the week, so now is the time to make learning fun and reinforce simple concepts such as letters and numbers at home during storytime and play time. We had a fun Valentine’s Day party – the children enjoyed passing out Valentines to one another and making their own mail bags. We have also enjoyed going to chapel with all of our friends from other classes, and and singing songs together. Miss Julie also paid us a visit and read stories to the class.
March will start out with a bang – Dr. Seuss week is one of the funnest weeks all year! On Wacky Wednesday we will ask the children to dress ‘wacky’ which can mean mismatched clothes, shoes and socks; wacky hair accssories, etc. Our classroom will be transformed to look like some of the rooms in the book “Wacky Wednesday” which we will read the day before. Becky’s Box of Puppets will also entertain us that day and she is always a big hit. March 14th is our school BBQ and picnic. Teachers will all be at the event and its always super fun so we hope that you can join us. We love your sweet kiddos – thanks so much for sharing them with us.
