Devotion: We read two awesome devotions about Cuddly Kittens and Cheerful Chirpers (ask your child how a cricket makes it’s chirping sound). We finished the week talking about God’s creation by reading a book, watching a Smartboard video, and drawing in our journals.
Books We Read: My Little C Book, Copycats, The Hungry Caterpillar, and Click Clack Moo, Cows That Type.
Science: We learned about the life cycle of a caterpillar and made a really cute craft to reinforce it. Be sure and ask your child to tell you their life cycle! They also watched a time elapsed video of the life cycle on the Smartboard, it was super cool!
Math: We counted by 1’s and 10’s. They also counted chocolate chips on cookies in a game in circle time!
HWT: We used one big curve to form the letter C. We formed the letter C in many different ways to form the letter and finished the week by tracing it. They also highlighted the upper case and lower case C in a poem.
Drawing: They drew 4 pictures that started with the letter C. They drew everything from cups to cats!
Journal: The children drew a picture of one of God’s best creations. They got to choose so we had everything from puppies to people!
