Hello Parents!
I can’t believe that it’s January 24th! First and foremost, thank you all again for all the wonderful gifts goodies and kind notes we received for Christmas. We are blessed simply to have you and your children in our lives despite your kindness and generosity!
We started 2019 off with a frosty theme…God’s Winter Wonderland (despite the warm weather here in The Lowcountry!). We learned all about animals that live in the cold and even did a science experiment where we put our hands in ice water and then again in ice water with a layer of “blubber” (Crisco in a Ziploc bag) around them. Not cold at all with the “blubber mitt” in the ice water! We discussed how God created all animals perfectly so they could live in their different environments. We learned of polar bears, penguins and snow.
As always, we have continued to learn our colors, shapes, numbers and letters during play time, circle time and at table time. We celebrated some of our friend’s birthdays, had special treats, had plenty of time for outdoor play given the unseasonably warm weather and the kids have had great opportunities to continue to further build and deepen their friendships! Here’s to a happy, healthy and prosperous 2019!!
Much love,
Ms. Kim
