All children entering our threes program must be three years of age by Sept. 1, 2016. We have 3 classes of threes (2 three day classes and 1 four day class) with a maximum number of 15 students and 2 teachers. These classes meet on Monday/Wednesday/Friday or Monday through Thursday from 9:00 to 12:30 and bring their lunch to eat at school.
Our threes are beginning to do a little more academically and their class is more structured. This play-based curriculum includes Zoo Phonics and Handwriting Without Tears focusing on letters/sounds and pre-handwriting skills. Our staff focuses on teaching independence and social skills through play and center time, as well as teacher-directed hands-on activities. The expectations are a little higher, as they prepare for our 4-year-old curriculum. All students must be potty trained. They participate in Music, Fun, and Fitness class, Spanish class, and Chapel each week.
