First Week Of School

We had a wonderful first week of school. We have enjoyed getting to know one another and learning the routine of our classroom. We read the book Have you Filled a Bucket Today and learned how we can be bucket fillers each day. We made bucket filler necklaces and had fun sharing ideas on how we can be bucket fillers. When we fill someone else’s bucket, we in turn fill our own buckets. We talked about friends and ways we can be a good friend. We talked about manners and how important it is to have good manners. We read Preschool Day Hooray, How to Get Your Teacher Ready, How to Find a Friend, and Splat the Cat Best Friends Forevermore. The children were very intrigued when Mrs. Dana brought out pipettes, baking soda, vinegar and food coloring for the kids’ first experiment of the year. We are so excited to have your child in our class! We are going to have an amazing year!
